Art(ists') methods of translating various languages /concepts

Hello all, I've got an issue that doesn't speak to the specifics of "reaching" others
with activist work or concerns, rather it's a related issue,,
a personal request for help
re: artwork that I'm involved in, aimed at {or relating to} issues that involve
much of the activist & social-justice-changes that many folks on fD are involved in:

basically i've been trying to find online translator apps /progs that are
free-- or at least very affordable on an artist's budget;-) ,
for translation of various
terms/concepts/phrases that go beyond icons & common symbols.

I've used frengly.com quite a bit,
but like many other free services & online warez,,
it can be quite good at times but also quite buggy or unable to translate at other times.

AND of course / CURSE, there's the very difficult issue: how can one really KNOW if an
online / translation is correct?
..! .. whew,, i guess that last question is lost a bit
too far into the realm of dog-chases-tail.

Well, here are a few translator warez I've checked out, please comment
if u have other suggestions or even more experience w- any of these :

1) an ARABIC site : http://searchtruth.com/arabic/lessons/unit1_writing.php
2) BABEL Fish [ fairly well known ] : http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_txt
3) similar spelling/name yet different : Babbel : www.babbel.com/go/friendsabroad
4) The ubiquitous GOOGLE translator---but this isn't a great one either;-(

thanx in advance 4 any help =][=
