Biography: Mariam El-Quessny,

Graduated from PRATT Institute of New York, a leading school of Interior Design in the USA, and have a strong academic and practicing background in Fine Arts.

An Egyptian, hold Immersed Knowledge of Middle Eastern Culture, Language and building context. Currently living in Cairo, working at Alchemy Designs, (junior designer), responsible for Product and Interior Design projects.

Interests would include the betterment of the environment; enhancing living conditions for the under privileged; merging cultural boundaries and structuring innovative processes for various design paradigms.
My Curiosity would push me to explore design in various social contexts with emphasis on environmental aspects. Adaptive Design/Architecture, that is not specific to geographical location but rather an environmental situation.

I want to use interactive design tools to enable the portrayal and eventually application of these design solutions. The situation being space, or lack thereof; how to generate more space, an efficient space out of no space or even out of a plane. Transforming and diffusing through dimensions. Widening our dimensional scope, moving from 2D to 3D and even 4D, playing with the idea of a boundryless existence- an experiment.
