Looking for Connections in Sao Paulo, Brazil: I am working with an artist creating a project with MASP, the Museum of Art Sao Paulo, this summer and fall. The project will include creating a venue for a free-school in the plaza of the museum in September/October into which we would like to invite local activists, artists, and organizers to share their techniques and build community. We are looking to connect with those on-the-ground organizations and think you might know someone who knows someone who does awesome work in Sao Paulo. Specifically, we are looking to connect with community-based organizations that work on food justice, transportation alternatives, arts, and homelessness. I would love an introduction. Unfortunately, and sheepishly, we do not speak Portuguese. We will be traveling with translators on the ground. Any help or connections you can pass on would be a dream!
