Biography
Programme Manager, Freemuse. Culture journalist with the Danish Broadcasting Corporation for more than 30 years. India correspondent to Swedish Broadcasting 1987-1988.
Senior advisor - development communication 1990-1993. From 2000 to 2003 project advisor to the Danish Center for Culture and Development. Has worked as cultural advisor in Mali, Bhutan, Nepal a.o. Took the initiative to the 1st World Conference on Music and Censorship in 1998 and is a founding member of Freemuse. Co-editor of ‘Smashed Hits – the Book of Banned Music’ and contributor to several publications on music censorship.

Freemuse Award winner Ferhat Tunc sentenced

Ferhat Tunc has once again been victimized by a Turkish court.

A Malatya court sentenced Kurdish folk musician Tunç to one month imprisonment on the grounds of his statement at a festival and postponed the pronouncement of judgement. The Court of Appeals had quashed the first verdict of the local court for Tunç's acquittal.

Artists’ voices embarrassingly missing at global freedom of expression forum

More than 500 journalists, writers, activists and artists from over 103 countries converged for a week in Oslo, Norway’s capital, in the beginning of June for the Global Forum on Freedom of Expression.



Musicians were playing at the opening ceremony, but musicians’ and other artists’ voices were embarrassingly absent at the dozens of seminars held in the Norwegian capital.
