Since 2005, work under the artistic direction of Nic Green has spanned solo and group theatre performance, community and public art projects, pedagogical and holistic learning experiences and interactive web-based endeavours. Nic is committed to creating hopeful and accessible art work with emphasis on the notion of making positive change, and empowering others to do the same. Her studies in human ecology and sustainable living initiatives are inherent in her work, as is her community-based approach to living.
Projects range from touring theatre productions, to works created with or for specific communities or contexts.
A considerable and integrated part of Nic's work as an artist is the participation and facilitation of community spaces and contexts. She works regularly with groups of all ages and abilities to facilitate transformative and experiential learning processes, using performance and creativity as a means for understanding the world. She also works with degree-level performance students as a lecturer and mentor, and creates diverse and varied projects to enrich and involve the communities around her .
I heard about FD through res artis and think it sounds like an initiative I connect with. Opening a dialogue and looking to providing creative space for critical and creative thought and action-its what I'm about!
