How I heard about fD and why I'm here
Todd Lester, I'm here to network, to learn and to share.

THE RETURN OF THE CONDOR

An interactive dance installation/sound/video sculpture, about the ancestral universe, the convoluted present and the future of the memory and legacy of the most important Indigenous rebel in Colombia. A virtual structure resembling a jail cell in a multi channel public scale projection with original Indigenous vocals, contemporary and pre-Columbian sound elements and atmospheres, still images, dance video, archive footage and after effects.
Coopdanza. Inc/ Cristina Cortes’s Artistic Residency at Indigenous territories in Colombia, during the celebration of the 40 years of resistance of the Consejo Regional Indigena del Cauca CRIC.
The return of the Condor in a collaborative creation of artists, consulters, leaders from the different Indigenous groups members of the CRIC (Consejo Regional Indígena del Cauca), Uramba Tve from Colombia and Coopdanza. Inc/Cristina Cortés from New York.
Uramba Tve is Internet Popular Television, a virtual cannel, composed by a collective of independent multimedia producers: sound, image, video, photography and spoken word, generating proactive presence and diffusion on popular communities in Colombia. Coopdanza. Inc is an interdisciplinary art, media and educational organization, based in NYC, which focuses its activities providing environmental and cultural awareness inspired in Indigenous American Legacy.
The Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca (CRIC) is a traditional authority, recognized by resolution # 025 of June 1999 by the National Government and covers 115 indigenous communities of Cauca (each community is represented by a Council-Cabildo), with a population coverage of approximately 250 000 people
