Film directors arrested in Egypt

Among the many who were arrested by the Egyptian police are film directors Hala Galal and Samy Hossam of Semat (Independent Filmmakers for Production and Distribution).

Please use your personal and professional networks to call for the release of Hala and Samy, and all the arrested demonstrators.

news: They were released very late last night (26 January), but beaten up badly. There are a few other filmmakers and theatre people still arrested. We are trying to gather the names.
